The official Silver Spoon anime website has been updated to include a couple of promotional videos (with animation) plus a list of the cast, which includes:
- Hachiken Yugo: Kimura Ryouhei (Sakamichi no Apollon, Robotics;Notes)
- Mikage Aki: Miyake Marie (Mawaru Penguindrum, Hiiro no Kakera)
- Komaba Ichiro: Sakurai Tooru (Ishida to Asakura)

Amazon Japan is listing the release of Silver Spoon volume 8 for July 11th. It will presumably contain chapters 62 through 70 and cost 440 JPY. ISBN number is 9784091243461, in case you want to order it at some local shop.
There’s still no cover available, but you can already pre-order the volume.

Shounen Sunday is on a break next week, so chapter 74 will be in issue 23, out May 8th.
The new Oricon chart is out and Silver Spoon again managed to reach first place with 370,676 units sold of the regular edition in its first week.
The limited edition of the book (which includes a Yezo Agricultural High School student handbook) can also be found at sixth place, with 103,365 units sold. That makes a grand total of 474,041 copies, which is a new record for the series!
noitaminA’s Silver Spoon anime official website is now available. You can check out some character designs, the already announced staff (no cast yet), a previously released teaser (with no animated bits) and the news section.
Also you can download a wallpaper of the key visual (see above) in a couple of resolutions.
